This single-channel mid-frequency EQ is the secret weapon for vocals, guitars, snares, and all the other midrange instruments that form the basis of the mix.

Especially useful for mid-band oriented instruments such as guitars, vocals, harmonicas and violins, the MID FREQUENCY ENHANCED PULTEC EQ (type MEQ-5) shares the same features and specifications as our 'EQP-1A' version. The differences are in the passive EQ section: in EQ MID, the DIP and PEAK controls work in much sharper bell-shaped curves centered on the selected frequencies, which gives the producer-engineer more precise control over the vital midrange. importance and makes this indispensable unit to master engineers. The MID EQ also completely fills the frequency gaps between the low and high frequency sections of our improved Pultec EQP-1A type EQ; thus, combining the two provides a more flexible palette of tracking or mastering possibilities.

  • Operating Mains Voltage: Units are built specifically for the mains voltage of the original destination country: 100V, 120V or 220-240VAC as indicated on the serial number badge. The power transformer must be replaced to change the operating voltage of the electrical network. 120VAC units cannot be rewired to place the power transformer primaries in series for 220-240V operation or a large humming radiated field will develop. In case of changing locations/voltages, the power transformer must be replaced with one dedicated to the voltage at which it will operate.
